Sustainability & Environmental Impact
Healthcare produces a significant amount of waste. We are unable to recycle most of what we use due to clinical contamination. The only way to reduce our impact is to provide long lasting work. The techniques & materials used in providing care aim to produce long lasting work. Educating our patients to maximise the lifespan of the work we do is also an essential process in increasing sustainability.
Materials Used:
Dental materials play a crucial role in modern dentistry, allowing dentists to restore teeth, prevent decay, and improve smiles. However, with any medical device, safety is a top priority.
Balancing Efficacy and Biocompatibility:
Restorative materials such as Bisphenol-A, Hema and Tertiary amines may have a sinister role. We only use products which do not contain these compounds.
We also use latex free products in the vast majority of cases ( but not all, so do tell your dentist if you have a known allergy). A significant percentage of people have an allergy to nickle, some dental products contain nickle. We offer nickle free work. In the case of Resin Bonded Bridges, zirconia is a very suitable an dpossibly superior alternative. Titanium as an alternative to Chrome-cobalt dentures which can contain Rexidium which is inert but dangerous during adjustment.
Aggressive, Passive Aggressive or basic rudeness:
This behavior though very infrequent will not be tolerated.
Late cancellations, Missed Appointments, Repeated missed Appointments:
We absolutely reserve the right to withdraw our offer of care should a person not respect our clinical time. We also may charge a missed appointment fee. We may ask for a partial deposit or payment in full in order to secure a new appointment.
Licencing, Safety
We have completed an independent assesment of our Radiological equipment.
Our practice invested in an AED as well as other equipment in order to provide top level first AID should it be needed.
